33. It is quite possibly the smartest, most well-written movie ever made.

I'm not joking. It's like reading a well-written novel except you get to watch it as a movie. The way the script references itself works so well. For example, Walter--a gung-ho war vet--rather ironically takes the Dude to task for calling an Asian-American a "Chinaman." (Right in the middle of a diabtribe, to boot). Several scenes later, the "Big Lebowski" explains the loss of his legs as follows: "Some Chinaman blew them off in Korea!"

That's just smart writing. The Coen brothers were geniuses in that movie. Although "No Country for Old Men" was well done, "Fargo" and "The Big Lebowski" are by far their greatest achievements.

O Brother is one that just gets more enjoyable everytime you watch it. Loved Blood Simple and Raising Arizona as well. The rest aren't quite as high up on my personal list, but still great movies to watch.

I still think TBL and Fargo take the cake, however. Those are probably interchangable as my all time favorite #1 and #2 movies.
