Damn. Majel Barrett has died.
The person who showed up in more episodes of Star Trek, and the only one who was in EVERY series and movies, and including the very first ST:TOS pilot episode, is dead at age 78.

Sad.

5. She was a real hoot as Troi's mother.
I love her scenes with Picard. He could take on a dozen Klingon warriors without batting an eye, but he would want to flee in terror
whenever she showed up on the Enterprise.

6. Damn, I didn't even realize she was that old.
She always had such vitality.

7. I'm glad that she'll live on with her body of Star Trek work
I strongly suspect that J.L Abrams' Star Trek will be dedicated to her, as she reprised her role as the voice of Enterprise's computer again.

Godspeed Majel.

And Lady Morella on Babylon 5.

She also completed voice work for the enterprise computer in the new Star Trek movie before she died.

She also brought us Andromeda and Earth Final Conflict!
