i'm feeling a bit cruddy today and can't decide if i should call in sick

nothing major, just some achiness, congestion and plugged up ears, but i don't know that i want to bring my crud into work. i'm also not sure that i'm going to even be able to work because my job involves a lot of time on the phone and i can't hear so well right now.

otoh, i don't have anytime of sick pay and could use the hours.

maybe i'm just looking to you guys for backup to justify my decision because i'm not terribly hot on going into work anyway.

2. i don't know why i'm even agonizing over this

they don't care if you miss a shift as long as it's not too often and you give them a couple hours notice. and, with my job, no one is going to have to work harder to make up for my not being there.

Better to stop whatever you have before it gets worse. Besides, you don't want to give it to anyone else.
