French Film fans, I need assistance

What was the name of a movie, circa 1996-97, about a young, single woman in Paris in which there is a scene where she finds these baby mice nesting in her closet, and she goes to the neighbor and borrows the cat! I know it played in the foreign film houses here in the states and had good reviews. It's the only scene I can remeber but very memorable. Friend wants to find in on netflix.
