1. Paxil is an excellent drug
It helps a lot of people with social anxiety disorder and a variety of other problems. I support and respect it.

4. Wow
That's some pretty messed up stuff. I mean, Ritalin has been suspect for a while but I didn't realize Paxil was causing some of that behavior.

But are those cases realistic? I mean if 1 out of 1000 people expiriences that mental breakdown can you prove they wouldn't have had a mental breakdown when they weren't on the drug. I mean, their violent behavior was perhaps why they went on the drug in the first place.

8. I have been a member of
The International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology for years.

The drug companies cover up all the problems with SRRIs.

In every case DR (MD) Breggin was to be an expert witness, the drug companies settled out of Court. He has seen their test results.

12. From ICSPP Summer 2002 Newsletter
"A man with no previous history of violence or suicede drowned himself and his two children in a bathtub after taking two does of Paxil"

<cut>

"In Jan 2001, GDK resolved the product liability suit."

<cut>

"In the Texas case of Andrea Yates who drowned her four children in a bathtub, the press reported that Mrs. Yates was taking the antidepressants Remeron and Effexor, a combinations that also over-stimulate the serotonin.."

<cut>

In controlled clinical trials for Prozac that were conducted by the manufacturer Eli Lilly and Company, depressed patients talking Prozac attempted suicide more frequently than depressed patients taking placebo (sugar pill)

<end of cuts>>

16. I take Celexa for that. I used to take Paxil, though.
Celexa really isn't helping me tho. I think (as Huey Lewis once said) I want a new drug.

20. I used to take Paxil
I would take a dosage of around 10 mg. I weigh 200 pounds, so it wasn't that much. I began taking it when I was having trouble in High School. I stopped taking it last year and haven't noticed a difference. It was good to get me through my problems, but it wasn't something I wanted to take all my life.
