Some People Are Just Stupid.

My & my friend get in today after doing a little shopping and the guy across the street has his car stuck. I get out and offer to give him a push (as I had just done the same for someone else 30 minutes earlier) and the idiot tells me no.

I looked at him like... wtf... okay... And we headed upstairs.

I looked outside an hour later and the guy was still trying to dig himself out... Then I looked and he was gone, but his car was still there. A little while later I looked outside, and there he was again... digging snow.

He must have spent 4 hours trying to dig himself out today, and NEVER got his car moving. He wasn't in much snow, he just didn't know what he was doing.

Seriously... we could have had him out in 5 minutes.

I understand the whole macho... "me tarzan you jane" attitude and wanting to "prove his manliness", but come on. I'd rather have two dudes give me a hand so I can be on my way.

Must have been a republican.

"Stupid oughtta hurt."

That guy probably ended up PAYING to have somebody come drag him out or maybe even ended up getting a ticket for abandoning the car--and he HAD the ability to avoid that.

He probably figures he'd have to offer you money. As a matter of form I'd refuse his money, but not if he offered it twice. Some people don't want to go into another person's debt.
