Good action and story even though it deviates from the original.

I loved it.

2. I agree--much better than it's been described by critics
And several truly poignant moments that are no doubt decried for being sappy or cliche or whatever. I was particularly struck by the scene in which Klaatu told the polygraph guy "I have to leave you now." Likewise, the moment when Jacob realized the limitations of Klaatu's powers.

Keanu has been slammed for years for his stiff performances, but I'm lately gaining an appreciation for his style. I thought that he did just fine in the role.

5. Wasn't the original Klaatu
kind of wooden anyhow? So, my thought was that Keanu was well cast in the role.

I don't think Reeves is a godo actor, but I think he knows his limitations and usually picks roles that play to his strengths.

7. NZ review
I saw a review from a New Zealand news network. She said Reeves was perfect casting. The character was supposed to be wooden.

3. I didn't like it.

I agree that the story was different, and that's okay. But the ending was lame.

The cemetary scene was ultra-powerful. That scene would've worked in any movie, though.

6. I thought it was the worse movie I have seen this year.
The acting sucked. But I really didn't expect much from Reeves.
