All I do is work
My 2nd job just wrapped up last night, so now I am up late working on my regular job since there's just not enough hours in the day to get everything done because we won't hire any friggin' help.

<sigh> I know there are many DUers without any job, and I am very grateful to be working for a stable company with a decent year forecast for 2009.

Still, it's been over a year of going to bed after midnight 6 days a week, working full time, about 60-70 hours/week plu commuting total, and generally living in a fog. My 5 year old asks me about 15 times a weekend if I have to go and work now. Won't he be bummed when I head to the office the day after Xmas. Now, back to finishing that paper for the boss...

And can actually be a part of your child's life even more.

Society is messed up. Far too much work.

2. Well I did.
I'm down to one job, as of last night, which has immediately expanded to take the place of the other at night.

4. I feel your pain.
I work on average 90 hours a week. I usually only see my house about four days a month.

5. You have me beat
I at least manage to sleep at home just about every night!

Wouldn't it be nice if all those productivity gains over the last 30 years went towards us working fewer hours?

6. Unfortunately, they will just demand more!
I hope that you get a raise at the job you like the most, so you can quit the other job and get your life back! I work only one job, but am going to online college (University of Phoenix), and it seems like there is not enough hours in the day to get anything done.

7. It would be nice.
Did you ever see that episode of the Simpson's were Homer discovers how truckers are able to run so much? I wish I had a truck like that. Maybe then I would get to sleep more than a few hours at a time.
