Is it silly to take Tums and drink a soda?

I have the worst heartburn. Acid, y'know. So I'm eating Tums and chasing them with Diet Dr Pepper - not because they need a chaser but simply because that's what I'm drinking.

I guess it would make sense to eat the Tums and dump the soda, eh?

4. Drink something decaf

I wouldn't sweat the bubbles, but caffeine can irritate the lining of the stomach.

better yet, just take an H2 blocker like Tagamet or Zantac and be done with it.
