The Burger King "Angus Steak Burger"--is it vegan, by any chance?
I know it comes from a place that sells meat, and it's advertised as containing meat, but I had one of these shitty burgers recently and it tasted like, and had the mouth feel of, the Textured Vegetable Protein Fake Hamburger Patties they used to sell before they knew how to make TVP right.

So...is it actually meat? Inquiring minds would like to know.

1. I'm pretty sure it's actual meat.
Just don't ask what animal it's from.

2. You've never grown Angus?
It needs a moist environment, which is why it started in Scotland, but it's very easy to grow with a few waterings a day and some fertilizer.

4. I'm guessing the answer is going to be a resounding "NO".
But I really admire your optimism in the face of overwhelming adversity. Except the part about killing yourself.

8. Coincidentally enough, my neighbor who is in "Chef School" came by today, and told me
something I hadn't known: Unless it's labeled CERTIFIED Angus, the steer the meat came from has to only have, like, one drop of Angus ancestry in its blood.

It was an "Aha!" moment for me, explaining why McDonald's can sell mushburgers that taste just like all their other mushburgers, and pass them off as being "Black Angus."

9. interesting
I just had a Whopper the other day, the first time in years. I was wondering if they had changed something. It wasn't like I remembered. It was horrid and tasteless. (and such small portions-Woody Allen)
