10. Yup
Baja Sessions is sort of a "greatest misses" album, with remakes of some of his old songs, some covers, and a couple of original tunes.

15. Absolutely. "Wicked Game" is a very sexy song.
I bought the CD just for that song; don't remember if I even listened to the rest of it. I love that song. I first heard it when they used it for one of the couples on my soap (the only song my soap ever used that not only didn't make me retch, but that I actually enjoyed). I had to do a little work to find out what the song was, but I made sure I found out.

'Cause I bought Isaak's Forever Blue album for "Shadows In The Mirror" after hearing it on GH. And I ended up really loving that CD.

Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 05:13 PM by mac56
It would make Roy Orbison proud.

Okay, who is Chris' dad?

Add on edit: He played "Uncle Bob" in "That Thing You Do". He recorded the Wonders' hit single in the church.

19. Chris Isaak jumped on my friend's foot...
We were at Gruene Hall (www.gruenehall.com) and Isaak jumped off the stage at the end of his show, landing amongst us patrons. When he landed, he landed on my friend's foot.

My vote: Somebody's Crying

21. LOL! Actually...
...my friend started screaming "CHRIS ISAAK JUMPED ON MY FOOT!" about 5 times, while jumping like a madman.

This show was back in the early 1990s, so pre-Somebody's Crying. :-)

Ever see the video for that song?
He starts it with this trippy poem before the song even starts..."who's daddy's little baby...who's daddy's little baby now?"

See if you can find it on launch.yahoo.com.

29. Let Me Down Easy -- whose song?
Isn't that a John Eddie song?

He sounds a lot like Isaak in it.

I'm not familiar with Chris Isaak's full discography. Can someone verify it?

Full Disclosure: I know John Eddie. Not as a bosom buddy, but from seeing his concerts here in Philly and hanging out after last call.

30. Not the same song
Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 11:08 PM by Paragon
Isaak's got the writing credit for it on his album -- it's his song. Your guy might have another song by the same title.

On edit: I checked allmusic.com -- the song title you're referring to by John Eddie is "Let Me Down Hard".

32. Sorry!
Pardon my aneyurism! :)

Let Me Down Hard is, indeed, the the name of John Eddie's song.

His album is excellent, by the way. I don't have it, but the local (Philadelphia) AOR and indie stations are playing it. The album is called Who The Hell Is John Eddie?

He had a band in the 1980s called John Eddie and the Young Rumblers. They played pretty good "workingman's rock" (as Springsteen and Mellencamp were supposed to be) but their record company kicked them to the curb in spite of decent national sales.

Eddie's gone indie, and his new sound is a lot better, though it is very Chris-Isaak-like.
