I love my daughter, but I was pretty - um - unhappy when she was using my Powerbook at the kitchen table, got distracted (by the telephone - surprise, surprise, it was not in her hand) and in getting up, pulled the power cord with her and BAM - Powerbook slams on the hard, ruthless, stone/tile kitchen floor. Sickening sound. Booted up once after that, but after that - nothing...
I love my old rescue lab Zander, but he has a pee problem, so I can relate on that level too. He's old, neurotic, needy, lovely, smart, sweet and were it not for the pee problem, he'd be perfect... including the daily piles of black fur in every corner...(had no IDEA this guy would shed so much - for a short hair dog! Wow! And I grew up with a long hair St. Bernard... I think this guy produces more "household fur" than she did, but I must be remembering that wrong, she was pretty darn fuzzy.... and slobbery... and I'd give my right arm (and leg) to have her back. Slobber, fuzz and all...).
But - you'd already taken out the components, right? So, you're safe in that regard? I beat up my computers and work them hard - they're sturdier than I expected - especially that Powerbook. Built like a tank. But that was just a little to much of a shock for it. I'm still in mourning. (sigh).
By the way - I love your dog... he's just too sweet for words. He looks like he knows when he does something he's not supposed to, but really could care less at this point... like an old man. At least in that picture. A sweet ol' curmudgeon of sorts. My guy just looks like - if he could talk he'd sound like Woody Allen in "Annie Hall". : ).
He tried to set the house on fire last week - that was fun... turned the stove on trying to get at some bread on the counter, knocked the roll of papertowels over in the process and .... suffice it to say every single smoke alarm went off, and they're very sensitive because I was able to douse the fire before it spread beyond the stove. And I was in the opposite end of the house - I was impressed. Could have lived with a less dramatic way to prove how good the alarms are, but... now I know.
...Never a dull day with dogs and/or daughters... : )
