Another sign that I'm in a civilized country: sane banks
I deposited $300 cash into my account, and a couple of transactions posted on the same day. The bank duly processed my deposit first, thereby ensuring that none of the other transactions (debit card) would bounce or be otherwise adversely affected.

Damn.
