16. That's something I miss a lot. Harrisonburg had TWO of them
due to I-81 running right through town. Morgantown has TWO interstates running through town: I-79 and I-68. And yet, not a single Waffle House. :(

We do have an Eat N Park, though, so that makes up for it a little bit. Still...I miss Waffle house hashbrowns. Scattered, covered, chunked, and capped. :9

4. There are absolutely no local dives? Serio? Then a pack of cigarettes and a thing of Pringles
might be your best bet.

14. Local? Orlando?
Edited on Sat Dec-27-08 02:27 AM by DarkTirade
We import EVERYTHING, including the population. The only nice local place I ever found that stayed open 24/7 was a 50s style diner near campus, but business got bad enough that they had to stop and go to regular hours. Probably because people starting going to the Steak & Shake down the street.

Seriously, when I first moved there I expected people to be asking a lot of quesions like "What is snow like." and whatnot. Nope. I wasn't even not the first northerner in my class, I wasn't even the first kid from New York in my class.

Hell, I think there are more ex NYers there than actual Floridians.

7. Give me a day to get back to you...
my friend Shannie was a princess at Disney working the latest shift and after makeup and what-not sometimes didn't get out of the park until after 1am and unfed because they have to pay for their food and get no discount.

I'll shoot her a message...if there is an amazing dive diner in Orlando open at 3am. She'll know.

11. Waffle House
I was going to suggest Steak & Shake but it appears the restaurant closes at 2 AM though the drive through might be open all night.

12. Orlando
Edited on Sat Dec-27-08 12:27 AM by Incitatus
Broadway pizzeria is an option. They are open until 4 am, and have pretty good food.

oh, NM it's only 4am on Fri. and Sat, but maybe they will stay open for New Year's.

There's also Steak and Shake. Most of their Orlando locations are open 24 hours, including dining.
