3. I agree. That goes for gay men too.
I don't know. I'm straight. I shouldn't really care about this, I suppose, or at least that's what we are made to think. But when the marriages began, and I saw how happy the couples were...it really moved me. I don't know why. It was so beautiful. Two people, in love, but denied marriage for so long...and then suddenly, they aren't second class citizens. Suddenly they can wed. They look so happy, I think to myself, and smile. And then cut to those fundies polluting TV telling me that what I saw was destroying the moral fabric of the country, that all of the sudden we were going to be smoted by God, spewing such nonsense with a frightening passion.

It made me think for a moment how beautiful those couples were in the face of such vile ugliness.

4. I clicked through the yahoo slide show a while back
It was great to see all those happy smiling faces pronouncing I dos.

Two great photos that stuck in my mind were of a couple leaning in with their heads togheter and in the space between them was their daughter.

Another picture that was just as poetic, but more sad to view was of a couple hugging with a resigned look on their face because one was about to be exported because her visa expired. . .

7. That pic of the elderly women just makes me cry every time.
The woman that is holding back tears in the background--the joy of that moment just leaps out of the picture.

Seriously, it STILL makes me sob just thinking about it.
