I have some year-old gasoline in a plastic can

It was leftover from when I used my snowblower last year. I just completely forgot about it.

I am guessing it is no longer good to use the gas.

If it is not good, how do I dispose of it? Do I bring it to a gas station or something?

1. no, i think you can still use it

but if you don't want to, I would take it to an auto parts store
here in Fort Worth, you can take it to an auto parts store where they take oil, and probably take gasoline.
call first to see that they have room in their reservoir.


or I could call the city and get the number to whatever local "hazardous waste" location for the garbage company is.

2. I've used year old plus gas in my lawn equipment

No problems but I usually add some newer gas to the mix

3. I'd mix it with fresh gas.

My DH uses Stabil in our cans of gasoline to preserve it. We have two cans of gasoline, one which he prepares with the proper mix of oil for certain engines. Stabil works in both. He's also used it right in the tanks of the mowers/snow blowers as well as a few cars we've had sit for periods of time.

4. Go to the auto parts store and pick up some gas stabilizer

Sta-bil is the brand that first comes to my mind. It's supposed to rejuvenate your "stale" gasoline.

6. Pour it in the car with the biggest tank

at your next fill up.
I do it all the time. Even the gas/oil weed whacker mix dilutes in 24 gallons of
fresh gas.
