My cat snores in her sleep sometimes. And she puts her paw over her face. It's cute.

3. One of my cats does the paws over the face thing when she sleeps sometimes.
She used to do it all the time when she first moved into my house against my will, but she seems to have grown out of it for the most part.

4. My recently passed away Picasso did the same thing, snored like a trooper
but it turned out he had a huge tumor in his mouth and throat. He was almost 13. One of my all time favorites of the dozens of kitties I have been owned by.

5. One of my cats...
...Kaminari (Japanese for 'Spring Thunderstorm') used to do this...
but when she did it, it was time to roll up the car windows and make preparations for precipitation.

She only did it when there was going to be rain or snow...about a 6-8 hour heads-up and pretty close to 90% accuracy.

We named her that because
A). my fiance at the time was enamored of all things Japanese and insisted on giving the new kitten a Japanese name...
which I was cool with, as long as it sounded good to my untutored Western ears and it was her...
B). as a kitten, she had as much energy, direction, predictability...and sense...as a spring thunderstorm.

I miss that sweet little black cat...but she was able to give me eight years. For that I'm grateful.
