my night tonight

The first new years eve that sticks in my mind was when I was 12 and staying at my grandmothers house. My uncle, a vietnam vet with scizophrenia and an alcoholic came barging in the door and nearly killed my crippled grandmother, even though he was just tryin to hug her.....my grandmother screamed out for me to call the cops. My uncle started crying and fell to the floor as I dialed 911. He left quietly before the policed showed up. Every year after that I have partied like a rock star. Tonight, because of the snow and my phisical limitations due to health problems.....I am staying in, reading, writing, meditating.......purging my old life, physically and mentally. I plan to wake up on the first of the year clear headed, and focused. I"ll let you know how the experiment goes.

2. so far so good

I have done my "pugring" read a book, wrote a bit......having a few beers........so far best new years ever.....thought that coke one was mad fun too......so was the one with no clock....lol

3. At first I'd thought about going out with friends and whatnot...

but now I'm thinking about either staying in, or if I do go out, just hanging out with one or two close friends.

Especially since I've hardly done ANYTHING creative lately. If I can ring in the new year doing something creative, that'd work for me. :)

though I have already done some writing....
