I'm still grieving for my dogs.
I lost Scarlett to cancer in 2006 at age 10. I lost Beau to cancer Christmas 2008. I know it's stupid but I'm still grieving for them. I have PTSD for those dogs. Beau was the worst because I was there when he was put down. Vet came to the house and I had to bury him.

I'm so full of good cheer. :-(

3. No no, not stupid. Not stupid at all.

I still grieve for my lost pets, some more than others. They still come to visit me in my dreams sometimes, those are the most "real" dreams I ever have and I absolutely cherish it when they happen. You are doing an honor to Scarlett and Beau's spirits to hold them close in thought and in your heart. I'm no shrink, but I say to indulge yourself: think of them, go through all the old pictures, start a journal and write down all the good memories... let yourself grieve. Then when the time is right, let yourself heal.

So sorry for your loss.

4. I see them in my dreams and they walk me to a bridge...
I know it's because I read the Rainbow Bridge but maybe it's just so bad because it's winter and so cloudy. I don't have a replacement puppy because I have a temp job. Looking forward to another good job and a puppy.

5. Aw, that's a sweet dream.

They are letting you know that they are still with you in spirit.

When the time is right for a new dog, you'll know.

Take care.

6. My last dog died over a year ago
And I almost cried tonight when I dropped some taco meat on the floor and I thought about her not being here to gobble it up. Losing a pet is very hard. You have every right to grieve your dogs. I feel for you and hope that you'll allow yourself the time it takes to heal from such a great loss.
