Alabama has a BASS PLAYER in their marching band?
I just happened to flip over to the Sugar Bowl, which is at halftime. The Alabama Marching Band is on the field. What do my eyes behold but a BASS PLAYER (on a 5-string no less) just wailing away on the sidelines. Are you kidding me? A BASS PLAYER in a marching band? I think I have seen it all now.

2. I went to a school with a military band and no cheerleaders, so I guess I have much to learn.
:D

I remember freaking out when we got a dance team for basketball games.

BTW, Texas A&M, in case you are wondering.

4. It isn't over yet.
I was thinking of changing the channel after the first quarter.

5. Bass fiddle or bass guitar?
IIRC.. when I was in high school, way back in 1975-77, we had a electric bass marching in the band(or maybe just a electric guitar). The bass/guitar was played and the amp was moved by a set of twins.
