The Wii is fucking addictive.
And I am a freak.

We have created Miis of ourselves (M, K, and I), my son, K's friends, Barack Obama and Sarah Palin. I swear making the Miis is half the fun. I actually got to see (in cartoony form) how I would look with dreadlocks!

I just played baseball and on my team was both Barack Obama and Sarah Palin :wtf:

We have Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. I have a silver medal in the 100 meter Freestyle and a bronze in the 100 meter dash.

28. You need to get Outdoor Challenge
It has the mat that attaches to the Wii - you have to jump on the mat to jump rope or manuever your mine cart or to ride the pipe or jump the logs.

If the short ones get a work out and have fun, the game is worth its weight in gold.

19. We have a weird mii addiction going on here.
My sons make miis of everyone. Really. We have Obama, Hillary, McCain (with horns), we don't have Palin though. Then we have the Simpsons, Spiderman, Batman, Snoopy, Bob Marley, our whole family (extended included). Once they went online and saw the miis that others had created it was all over. When they have a friend over they have to create a mii for that friend.

Sonic & Mario at the Olympics was our first game. :) Mario Kart it a lot of fun! Our boys race their cousins in NY. Mario Kart is by far their favorite game.

20. Miis are too kiddy/cutesie, but the Sports games are a real sell... as is Super Mario Galaxy
Also kiddy looking, but the gameplay is extremely innovating. And addicting.

Star Wars Lego is also fun, if only to take jar jar binx and continually kill him...

31. We visited some friends with a Wii the other day, and now my wife wants one
what do I need if we buy a Wii? It seems like with all these "bundle" packages advertised online, we need more than just the standard package - there are different remotes/controllers, something called nunchuks, plus I think my wife likes the Wii Fit, which I think needs a few extra things as well.

37. The Wii comes with one Wiimote (controller) and one nunchuk
We got a second Wiimote when we bought Wii Play (the Wii remote comes packaged with the game for 49.99 - the Wii-mote by itself retails for 35.99 so having it bundled with a set of games was a bonus). The second nunchuk is another 20.00.

The Wii Fit comes with the balance board and the program disc. We love the Wii Fit. My partner really likes the Wii Fit boxing. He says he gets just as good a work out from the combination of the Wii Fit and some Billy Blanks DVDs as he ever got at the gym. We have dumped the gym membership.

We got one today and were attempting to play some games, and found it nothing but frustrating and infuriating.
What the hell are we doing wrong? The remote is impossible to aim, keep in one spot, or keep where you can see the cursor at all. I just wanted to throw the damned thing through the television.

46. try moving the sensor strip.
The TV we have it hooked up to is really high off the ground (because our wall unit TV shelf is really high. We had initially set the sensor strip on top of the TV and it would only pick up the Wiimote about 1/2 the time. We moved the strip to the shelf level and it is much better.
