it took me two years to win my first one and I'm a writer and dabble in amateur standup. I'm pretty friggin witty. It's as much about having the luck that someone PMed your funny post to JeffR as it is about saying something great. (He can't read everything, it's all dependent upon the help of people who forward the funny stuff.)

I can tell you that sending off things you read here that make you :rofl: for some reason increases one's own chances of winning them.

I've been here a long time, and had only one thread I started appear on the front page. I was quite surprised.

I guess I don't come here for that. I come here to learn and find like-minded people. It's not that I think you are wrong to want a DUzy. It is a fun thing, and we all need a lift once in awhile.
