How many times have you seen the movies you've seen the most times?
Me:

"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" — somewhere between 55 and 60. (I stopped counting at 50.)

Then...

"American Graffiti" — 44, I think.

"Horse Feathers" — around 25-30, prolly.

7. Wizard Of Oz every year of my life since I was 4 yrs old.
There was a theater in my NYC neighborhood that played it every year in the 40s and early 50s until television took over. Believe it or not we watched it on black and white TV...with the whole movie in B&W! Then it became an event on color TV every year. Now with DVD I continue the tradition.

17. Nah...
nothing that glamorous or exciting.

More like..."Mom, can I....", "Mom, when can you....", "Mom, I don't wanna....", "Mom, I need...."

and by then, well, I just bury my nose in a book and forget about watching anything at all.

19. 67+

I saw the The Empire Strikes Back almost every week day the summer it first came out until I had to go back to school. I've seen it more times than that since the DVD release, but this was my count at the end of that summer.

I've seen Rocky Horror a lot, but not that many times I'm pretty sure.

33. Sidenote on American Graffiti.
I've seen that movie exactly twice. Once when it was new (when I was younger than the characters in the movie). Once last year (much much older, obviously).

When I was young I saw it as a coming-of-age story.
When I was older I recognized it as an end-of-an-era story.

The perspective that comes with age is a strange and wonderful thing.

Just 11 years later.

I recognized right away that I was a tiny element of a hallowed tradition and that I had to respect it — indeed, to revel in it.
