$0 a month.

the only disappointment were the lack of sub-channels (the abc and cbs channels both had weather sub-channels but i expected three per. the state pbs went from one to three and a local doofus religious channel went to four subs) which i hope will improve in february. we went from 8 sorta fuzzy channels to 16 dvd like channels for $19 ($59 box with $40 voucher).

i suppose a digital antenna and booster might jack that up to 30 channels for $0/month.

next i'll get a tv box (ps3 or other) for netflix and we'll have movies and more for $17/month.

not bad!

suck it comcast!

1. I have had only OTA tv for years and with digital I get 14 channels instead of 5
and that includes 4 PBS channels now. Oh, and there's no such thing as a "digital" antenna because any good rooftop antenna will do, even rabbit ears if you are close enough. I have a HDtv and so I get all of the HD channels for free over the air and that is the best way to receive them.

5. I have 2 antennas on my roof, one is specifically for my NBC station
which is about 70 miles to the north of me, in nearly the opposite direction of all the others (most of which are only about 5 miles away with one at 17). I do use a booster for that one because 70 miles is a stretch for all but a high and huge rooftop antenna.

Check out http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx for good info about what kind of antenna you might need and what stations you might receive. There are people who use something other than simply rabbit ears in the house, such as an antenna in the attic. You might also want to check out this forum for more about antennas: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=25

find the best one for your needs at Antennaweb.

Okay, just read your latest, but it'll also tell you about indoor antennae.

4. Which box did you get?
I need to get on the stick and get ours before they are sold out. We don't use cable or dish. Had dish for a couple years and got tired of lots of nothin' to watch! We love using netflix.
