Poll question: Grand Caymans or St. Thomas, U.S.V.I.?
My darlin' daughter & family are fortunate to have the wherewithal to escape the New England Deep Freeze for a week.
They're looking at these two choices.

I'd appreciate any comments, pro or con, on either.
Thanks guys.
:hi:

3. How about St. Croix (USVI)
Not as touristy St. Thomas or Grand Caymans.

Great beaches, wonderful people.

Just another suggestion.

8. I've personally been to neither.
I hear St. Thomas is very nice..But to be honest if I had my choice..I would return to Aruba..That place is GORGEOUS..and the people there are wonderful.

9. Between the two, Grand Cayman

But both are very popular choices in the Caribbean and on certain days during the week can attract as many as 8000-10000 cruise passengers.

I'd suggest taking a look at St. Maarten. You will still get some traffic from cruise passengers but not nearly as many as you will find in St. Thomas or Grand Cayman. There is this secluded island off the north coast (French side) called Pinel Island, and it's truly paradise.

These are from our trip there this past October.
