Online poker for play money is boring

and at times frustrating.

Even though it's play money I cannot justify betting 2-1 money on 12-1 odds (though I usually would have won because of the pair of 3's going all in).

1. for a n00b like me, it's a good way to learn.

I had a landlord who was willing to teach me once but he was training and saving to enter the WS of Poker and felt we should play for real $ when I had none.

I try to play as if it were real money so as not to fuck up my real game (which I haven't played in a couple years. I used to play once a week for years. :( )

Playing conservatively means huge payoffs.

If some idiot wants to bet 2000 chips into a 75 chip pot, I just fold, praise him for his aggressiveness and wait to trap him. With that kind of over-betting, I can afford to wait.

However, I occasionally get annoyed/bored and play a hand I shouldn't.

I'm ballooning my bankroll playing conservatively but it's slow going.

7. well, im a professional player

and have played in the world series of poker several times, and the best poker rooms in the world. and i just cant stand to play on the computer. it bores me to death
