"Drinkability," my ass. How does ANYONE drink this shit (Bud Light)?
Some friends brought over beer this past weekend and there were a couple Bud Lights in the fridge. I decided to have one because it's light and I figured it'd be just cold and bland, which was exactly what I was looking for.

Now I've never actually drank urine - but this is what I imagine it tastes like. Holy fuck, this beer sucks.

Does anyone here actually enjoy its "drinkability?"

unless it is in a keg and there's nothing else, or if I am playing beer pong, then I am not really concerned about what's in the cup as long as I win! :P

6. I don't hate it.
I like darker, fuller beers much better, but to me Bud Light isn't bad, just bland and tasteless kind of like Keystone Light. Now Coors is a beer that I actually think tastes bad.

8. No discernible taste whatsoever.
It's like beer with everything that makes it beer, removed. Leaving just a tiny bit of alcohol, some yellow color, and bubbles.

As a general rule, any beer you can get in a can is going to be putrid. And light beer is for college students who don't know any better.

17. McDonald's and Burger King are popular too
Whatever people want to drink is fine by me. Luckily most stores carry different beers and we aren't forced to drink the fast-food beers if we don't want to. To me, a Bud Light is fine for a cold beverage with some alcohol. If I want to savor tastes and be snobby, I can just as easily get me something a little more to my taste.

Seriously, Bud Light is her favorite beer. But she'll steal my good beer if she doesn't have time to stop at the store.

I told her to tell me next time and I'll go buy her a case of swill, rather than wasting decent stuff on drunk college kids who are just going to use it to chase shots of Jager. :scared:

But it just may be a prejudice against Budweiser products.

I do drink Miller Lite, and other Miller products.

But I agree Coors is the very worst.

Drink even more than that, you won't remember drinking it.

Which is probably for the best for everybody concerned anyway.

That's the rule in my house.

Of course, regular Budweiser is no better than Bud Light, or at least I can't tell. One is horse piss and one is sheep piss, I guess.

And I'll say it again, all beer tastes the same.

I'm not knocking beer, because I like beer. But I've come to the scientific conclusion that yes, all beer does taste the same. No matter what brand or country of origin, beer will always taste like beer to me.

34.  beer?
I am a Guinness and Smithwicks man- I don't like Belgian beers because of the floral character of the hops they use (ie fat tire) I am not really a hoppy IPA or ESB man either because I don't think they have enough balance. Hoppy for hoppy sake is not for me- Is there anyone out there who might recommend a red ale, brown ale or a stoudt (not chocolate or cream)

Beers I do like
Sammy Smith (all sorts)
Alley Cat Amber (tastes scotts ale)
Belhaven Scottish Ale
Wee heavy

I have been to many a beer festival and have tried many different types of beer. My favourite beer of all time is Guinness or Smithwicks on draught in Ireland but a close second is a black lager from the Czech republic Pivovar Herold.

Cheers!

for killing slugs in the garden.

It is good for nothing else except manufacturing the worst hangovers and what we used to call in college a bad case of "Bud Mud".

37. No kidding. One of my friends loves that swill.
I honestly don't get it. My friends take turns buying beer for our occasional poker/movie nights, and most of them will come walking in with a case of Fat Tire, Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada Ale, or even Guiness. This one friend however, without fail, will always come walking in with a case of Coors Light.

It's a damned good thing that I keep a case of New Belgium seasonal in the pantry.

As an interesting aside: The truly sorry thing about Coors is that they pump out crap even though they KNOW how to make better beer, but they recongize and accept the fact that their name is crap to real beer drinkers. Coors owns Blue Moon, which is a damned fine ale in its own right. Blue Moon isn't a company they bought, but a line actually created by Coors to appeal to real beer drinkers. They left the Coors name off the bottle because they knew NO beer drinker worth his hops would touch a Coors brew. Good thing too...Blue Moon is a good beer made by a company famous for passing off horse piss as ale.
