Question for Dawn of the Dead movie series
Are zombies cold blooded? If so would winter slow them down or freeze them solid?

1. No they're not cold-blooded. They're just dead.
Animated, but no blood pumping around to be warm or cold. They would freeze solid I'd think.

2. That's what I was thinking. the best escape from the zombies would be to head north
Sorry, just watched Diary of the Dead (the 6th installment of the George Romero series) Sunday.

3. I still haven't seen that one.
I wonder how hard it would be to decapitate a frozen zombie.

10. Probably on par with taking the wing or drumstick off a frozen turkey

The 6th movie isn't too bad. It's done with the first person camera style.

4. Formaldehyde freezes at what, -180 degrees F?
I love zombie movies where the risen dead (not the turned humans) bleed when they're shot, etc.

Don't they embalm folks any more?

5. Hmm...

it's not a 100% formaldehyde solution they use anyway... and there's another chemical they use instead, too... not sure what temperature that one freezes at. The muscle and skin should still freeze.

6. This is why no zombie movies are made in Nova Scotia.
Zombies in fur parkas or North Face heavy jackets...nobody is going to buy that.

14. Well there's the answer, not only doesn't it freeze them
it doesn't even slow them down. They are the fast zombies.

Here is another trailer for the movie, with more action

15. Zombie's must have founded a running school at some
point or other. I remember they use to just shuffle around and then *BOOM* along comes "28 Weeks Later" and all of them have turned into an undead version of Usain Bolt.

16. Actually it was Return of the Living Dead where I first remember seeing fast zombies...
not sure if there were fast ones in any movies before that one.

18. Zombies are no blooded.
The only functioning organ in a zombie is the brain. As long as the brain is good, the zombie's okay. (Until it decomposes completely.)
