1. Sounds to me like you would manage parks.
You know, national parks and whatnot. Probably work for a city or the state

4. You manage parks and playgrounds...
usually on a municipal level. Often the position includes managing all aspects of the operations of community athletic fields as well. My friend Brian's dad recently retired from the city of Philadelphia in that position for the community of Roxborough. The pay isn't great (He made in the mid $40Ks) but as a city employee the benefits are fantastic.

Alternately, if you are all about the money...you manage golf courses. $100K/year easy.

5. Oo! Oo! Me! Me! This is what I do!
With a Bachelor's or Master's degree, you work for anything from your local city parks department to the federal land management agencies (Park Service, Forest Service, BLM, etc.). You may deal with facilities management, programming, or any number of things in between. If you specialize in therapeutic recreation, you might work in a nursing home planning activities, or for a therapeutic riding stable for kids with disabilities, or for a children's hospital ... things like that.

With a Ph.D., you train the Bachelor's and Master's degree people. You also study other people recreating or managing recreation, give information to the people with Bachelor's and Master's degrees about how things are going, and get really fat because you never have time to recreate yourself. :hide:

6. It sounds like a degree made up for athletes.
So they keep up the pretense of an education while they are essentially professional football players.

7. Definitely not a made-up degree for "jocks"
Please see post 5 for clarification. And not a cream puff major, by any stretch.
