Well, it only took me from May 5, 2005 (plus over a year of lurking prior to that), but I made it.

In honor of my screen name, I thought I'd take this opportunity to show off the cake that one of my SO's coworkers made for us. She's taking a cake decorating class and decided she'd make one for us.



Thanks for keeping me marginally sane through some crazy-ass bad years, folks.

2. It's a goofy little cake, in the best possible way.

We haven't eaten any of it yet, but I stole some frosting. Yum! Really good buttercream.

Apparently this woman and her husband spent over an hour sticking chunks of crushed-up Heath bar all over it to make the little "rocks" sticking out. It was very sweet of them.

And I love the fact that we're hanging there on our red-licorice "ropes" like we've expired in the mountains somewhere! :rofl:
