A great kitty crossed the bridge yesterday: our 16 yr old Thomas
We got him from some friends when he was bout 6 months old. He was truly one of the most relaxed laid back cats ever. He has been slowly going downhill for about a year, losing weight, dehydrating. Thursday night he stood up to get out of my husband's lap and couldn't move his back legs, then he had no balance. We thought he had a stroke. turned out to be brittle spine, possible abdominal tumor, or other old age issues.

OUr kind and gentle vet gave him pain relief until I could get home from work then we took him back down to have him put down. We sure do miss him and will for a long time but he had a wonderful life with many adventures.

Mixed Siamese Multidactyl :

A lover of the rabbit's foot keychain, MyLittlePony brushes, PixieTail hair clips who would play hockey with these things for hours and yowl and pace in front of the refrigerator/washer/dryer until we raked them out for him.

Imitator of mink stoles. :

Hunter of birds, :

Defender of His House against all Invader Kitties and yet patient elder uncle of new kittens, who grew to be much larger than he yet still viewed him as the Big Old Cat Who Must Be Respected.

Possessed of the most magnificent purrbox I have ever encountered in any cat anywhere.

13. *sniff*
Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh
And talk of me as if I were beside you. I loved
You so—‘twas heaven here with you.

24. My cat, Tie Dye also lost control of her back legs
and was gone a couple of days later. I had to make one of the most difficult decisions I've ever made when I decided to help her cross over. I was holding her and she was purring.

My condolences on the loss of your Thomas Kitty.

We need a dog and kitty hugging avatar but this one will have to do...

26. I'm so sorry.
I've never had a cat, but I just love those kitties with thumbs. Love the description of him pacing and yowling in front of the appliances for his toys, too. It's nice to have such reliable staff, we always say.

27. So sorry. Great photos, too. Lovely tribute.
I love the mitten feet, too.

My "twin" Tuxedo cat girls are 15 and quite spry for the most part. Still...I see signs of their aging. Such loves, such angels they are.

My condolences on your loss. Beautiful little creature with a great name, too.

32. What a gorgeous boy!
Sounds like he had a marvelous life.

Write down all the little things that he did that made him special. It will help you remember him. And help, a little, with the grief.
