Eagles fans: Lets discuss trading Donovan McNabb
He has only led the Eagles to 5 NFC championship games. Kolb should be starting.

:sarcasm:

2. In my opinion, Kolb should have been given more time to play
but all the same I'm glad it's turned out the way it has...so far. Reid has also made many bonehead calls...

I don't understand the sarcasm, though

3. Sarcasm because McNabb is the best thing to happen to the Eagles
He is a bonafide franchise QB. I can't believe how badly he has been treated by many Philly fans and the Philly media.

4. Hmmm...there have been games when he was totally not on the field
and completely off his game...sometimes he runs hot and cold. I suppose the fans want some consistency with his performance.

The beginning of this season was fairly ugly both for him and Reid

8. Yeah, and there were some SEASONS where Jaworski and Cunningham...
...were completely off their game.

Memories are apparently short.

12. Are you saying my memory is short? I'm saying that they had a rough

start to the season and lost three in a row....due to bad play calling

Did you forget that? I'm not downing them myself, just saying that is why so many fans and the media were trying to figure out why they couldn't get things done with the talent they had

6. McNabb makes things happen out of nothing.
Edited on Sun Jan-11-09 09:16 PM by nytemare
He can consistently make 1st downs on 3rd and long, even very long. He can make something out of a broken down play by improvising.

If they want to trade McNabb, send him down to DC. Every so often, McNabb has a stinker of a game, but he has a fire and a desire to win, unlike the current QB there.

That being said, as a 'Skins fan, I have to say the obligatory "I hate the guy".

:D

16. You know we Philly fans of all our team have some major love-hate relationships with our stars
Randall Cunningham, Charles Barkley, Eric Lindros, Allen Iverson just to name a few - we loved them when they did well and chased them out of town when they didn't produce. But one thing about these guys was that they all came with attitudes that made it hard to like them.

But the thing with Donovan McNabb is that I'm finding it hard to hate him - he's a really good person and for all I know this could be his year. I'm not ready to get rid of him yet.

18. I'd get rid of Andy before I'd get rid of Donovan.
But that's just me.
