2. I don't hate them really, I am just sick of them

Peyton is a remarkable player, but he is whiny, his media amen corner bugs me, and he is massively overexposed. Part of the problem is that I moved to New Orleans in August of 1993, just as Peyton was beginning his senior year at Newman Prep. Since his father is one of the most popular sports figures in Louisiana, the hype was constant.

Eli is overrated. He's a competent QB, but he is far from an elite player. I'd put him closer to Jeff Garcia or Chad Pennington than to Peyton or Brady.

Tired of those 2 guys. They are both decent men and Peyton is a great player, but I'm tired of them.

Now, as a lifelong Patriots fan, I have a couple of axes to grind, but I do respect them as players and as reasonably decent fellows. I also like Archie; he has done a lot for the community down in NOLA over the years.

I know some people are put off by the religion thing, but I respect the guy. He's a hardscrabble player who came from a Division 1-AA program in the middle of nowhere (trust me, I've been there), scraped his way up through the Arena League, played in Amsterdam for a year, and, after being written off by everyone, is a game away from taking the freaking Cardinals to the Super Bowl.
