Bacon Cupcakes. Wait, what?
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)
Tee and Cakes bakery tops chocolate cupcakes with bacon.

Bacon is usually considered a breakfast food, but a bakery in Boulder is putting the pork in their cupcakes.

Tee and Cakes bakery is busy Saturday mornings and it's no wonder why, sure they serve breakfast, but cupcakes are the reason the crowd lines up.

Owners Kim Boos and Brian Wood found a way to combine breakfast with dessert after tasting a chocolate bar with bacon.

"It kind of like blew our minds and we're very picky about food," Boos said

That's when the bacon cupcake was created.

Quote of the day: "The people who want a bacon cupcake want a lot of bacon on their cupcake."

And I've just made pecan and pine nut brittle and coated the nuts with bacon fat.

Totally delicious!!!

Bacon - it's a gateway drug.

It might beat out sour cream for my single favorite food item. I'll know better after I pick up a jar of Baconnaise and some Bacon Salt later this week.

Pray for me...................

31. That reminds me of a joke I heard once.
There was this trucker, who had really hotrodded his rig. He was very proud of how fast it could go when he wanted it to. One day he met this man who had this beautiful, spotless, pristine, shiny white dog. The man said it was the fastest dog in the world. It could outrun anything anytime anyplace anywhere.

The trucker said, "Oh yeah? You are on!"

So, they set up the race. At first the dog started out beside the truck, but later disappeared. The trucker did not see the dog again, anywhere for the entire rest of the race.

The trucker crossed the finish line going faster than he had ever gone before. He had to pull on his brakes pretty hard to get it stopped. With a spring in his step, confident that he had beaten the "fastest dog in the world," he puffed up his chest all proud of himself and stepped out of his rig.

The second he opened the door, he heard barking. He said, "No way. I left that dog in the dust MILES ago! This can't be the same dog. Look, this dog has a brown patch of fur around his neck. The one I raced did not."

The owner of the white dog stepped up and said, "Oh, it's the same dog. We have video proof. He ran along behind you snapping at your mud flaps every mile of the way here."

The trucker, sure his leg was being pulled asked, "But what about that brown ring around the dog's neck?"

The dog's owner chuckled and replied, "That's his asshole. He's just not used to stopping so fast."

I've never seen people eat so fast. At least not since the last time I made a scratch dinner for 10+ hungry vegans.

As far as Voodoo goes, I like Mighty-O in Seattle better, but IMO Ronald's in Vegas is the epicenter of the vegan donut world. Voodoo is about on par with People's Donuts in Berkeley.
