Check in here if you dont watch 24
All of your Jack Bauer references go whoosh right over my head.

I dont have cable, and yes, that makes me better than you. What's that you claim it's only because I cant afford Comcast? OK we're both right.

I've never watched 24, Lost, Heroes or any of those other serial shows that require me to pay attention on a regular basis.

1. Never seen a moment of "24", "Battlestar Galactica", and only a few minutes of "Heroes"
which appears to be jms' "Rising Stars" with the serial numbers filed off.

I'll bet that I would really like at least the first season of "Heroes".

28. I really should pay more attention to what JMS has done beyond B5
I keep seeing references to his other works and I'm clueless as to what they are.

I've never watched 24, either, caught a few minutes of Heroes and thought it was just too bloody and brutal for me to bother with, but BSG reeled me in from the very beginning :D

Anything by JJ Abrams I've ever seen clips of gives me the feeling that he likes killing off people in the most gruesome and brutal ways possible. That just turns me off. I don't care how "good" the story is, I don't want to see people just "awesomely" killed with all the overly realistic effects they have at their disposal now.

36. Get the "Rising Stars" trade paperbacks and see the recent film "Changeling".
He wrote the screenplay. Rough subject matter..

40. He wrote Changeling? Cool!
I have wanted to see that so I'll remember that. Thanks! :)

I'll have to look for the TPB at my local comics shop or order them. I know he did a radioplay series at one time, but I was too late in finding it to ever listen to any.

There are some references to earlier seasons you might miss, but nothing major. :hi:

23. I jumped in at the start of season 4
Each season is more or less self-contained and there is quite a bit of cast turn-over so you can jump in pretty much anywhere. For example, this season we have a new president and First Gentleman, a new cabinet, new FBI agents, etc.

Don't think I would want to.

I haven't watched serial shows since Angel and Buffy.

I did watch Charmed early on but it got to silly in the last years of the show.

That "I Kill Your Family....NOT!...HA!Ha!HaHa!" was a deal breaker for me. That was wretched. And I am supposed to continue see this POS as a hero? No. I was done with the show at that point.

20. Nobody has that many days like that.
I don't care if you have the most exciting job in the world, maybe one percent of the population has had one day like that, let alone 7.

If I'm going to watch something utterly unbelievable, it needs to be in a fantasy or sci-fi setting, and even then I probably won't watch it.

I can't watch 007 movies for the same reason.

30. Don't watch 24 or Lost, I used to watch Heroes, and I LOVE Battlestar Galactica
Of those, BSG is the only one that requires cable to watch. The others are all available on the over the air networks.

Season 1 of Heroes was awesome, too, but Season 2 got weird, and then I was out of the country and missed most of the beginning of Season 3, so I haven't followed it much. Tried to watch Lost, missed like 3 episodes and was subsequently very much in WTF-land, so I gave up.

Battlestar Galactica, however, is the best show currently on television.
