I can't remember exactly what it was he asked for, but my friend's son asked for something like a blanket, a nice pillow, and new shoes for his birthday. They would have bought him any of those things anyway, if he'd asked, but those were the things he wanted for his birthday - not toys or anything - they asked. Apparently he was ecstatic when he opened his presents, because he got just what he'd asked for.
