1. If you have any working synapses, it will be a snap. EDIT

I finished 10 minutes early. This was in 2000.

I'm referring to the test for census takers and not any regular job.

3. It's easy - just read it carefully
There is plenty of time to take it. Good luck!

4. I hear it is very easy.
I know a couple of people who have gotten jobs with the Census lately and others who have taken it trying to get a job and everyone has said it was ridiculously easy.

I have also been told that foreign language/interpretor abilities is a major plus for Census jobs.
I have also been told that they are hiring for all skill/educational levels. Some jobs require a degree while others don't even require a HS diploma or GED.

6. You'll be fine.
Seriously, you won't have a problem. I love my mother to pieces and there isn't really a nice way of saying how amazing it is that she scored a 22.

7. Here is the deal.
You can take the test as many times as you want. They only count the highest score that you get, regardless of how many times you take it. When considering job applicants they look at your availability first and your score on the test. You don't even have to fill out a job history or provide references. They look at the applicants with the highest scores first. Since these jobs are so competitive in a dismal job market, you want to get the highest score possible with the most availability as possible.

The test is surprisingly harder than most here are making it out to be. The math and word skills parts are easy but they have a section on "management" that threw me for a loop. These questions were really about judgment calls and they obviously have a right way that they want things done, regardless of what your opinion on the matter may be.

Get the practice test and do it a few times til you have it memorized. You should have no problems.
