This has got to be the WORST dress person at the Golden Globes

Renee Zellweger always seems to wear Caroline Herrara when she does these award shows, which always seems to be a good fit for Ms. Zellweger. But after this dress disaster, Renee might want to reconsider her relationship with the designer, her stylists and whomever suggested she get botox or dermabrasion right before the awards show.

That dress just as too much going on and is NOT sexy even though it has a sheer netting over the nude corset. The hairstyle is just awful, looks like something one of the women on the TV show "Bonanza" would wear. And what the hell is with that shiny, reddish makeup. I swear she looks like she did too much Botox (and she's younger than me) or had one of those Dermabrasions done, just like Samatha did right before Carrie's big book party in season #5 of "Sex and the City"

This is just the worst look I've seen since Bjork laid an egg at the Oscar a few years ago.

1. Agreed
ITA with everything you said LynneSin. Methinks Ms. Zellweger (whom I love, BTW) is addicted to chemical peels. I've never seen her withOUT a shiny red face these days. It's disconcerting. :scared:

2. She's younger than me and she's doing that
Shame.

I mean I don't have 20 year old skin anymore but my skin, which is fair just like hers, looks way better than that.

3. I think it's the Hollywood "bubble"
I caught a glimpse of it from my SIL's mother who lived in Southern California all her life and always harbored a secret desire to be a movie star. (She was a court clerk instead.) The money that woman spent on cosmetics, hair, spa treatments, etc., etc., etc., was (and still is) ridiculous. But to her it was de rigueur. I can only imagine the peer pressure actually inside the Hollywood bubble to torture yourself physically in order to keep up with the latest Hollywood beauty trends.

7. It looks like Rosacia to me

It's so hard to cover up in those bright lights and with such fair skin it could be awful for her. I know I hate when I have flare-ups.

As for the dress, well, there is just no excuse for that.

17. I agree with you about the rosacia. I know people who have it and Renee looks like she battles it.
:hi:

5. Wow! That's really awful!
Oftentimes, I like dresses others don't, but there's no getting around the ugly that is that dress! What was she thinking?

10. And the thing is - I could fix that up with a few snips
I think if she removed the sheer top and just had the nude corset OR removed the corset and had a gauzy but not see-thru top to it.

And the hair has got to go, it was just so wrong on so many levels. I think an elegant ponytail or short bob would have looked better. The dress had too many frills to included that antiquated updo.

As for the face, I don't think it's Roscasea (which my mother has) - I think it's too much dermatological work being done on it.

13. I'm really hatin' the sleeves, too. That's the first thing that caught my eye.
The whole thing is just too much. And, yeah, the hair and skin make it too much times 10!

9. The dress has potential.
Cut off those nasty sleeves and make the top of the dress out of the same fabric as the bottom. JMO!

11. But you know, my opinion is just remove that top gauzy part
Leave the corset there even if it's a different color (or made black).

AND GET RID OF THE HAIR. She should have had a short bob or a classic ponytail. If she wanted an updo it should have been a french twist - something that doesn't look like Flo from the TV show "Alice"

19. She's beautiful when she has meat on her bones
but then she'll starve herself to 90lbs and look just absolutely horrible.

And don't tell me it's just her metabolism - because she packed the weight on twice for those Bridget Jones roles.

20. I looked it up - it's Carolina Herrara. That's what Renee wears all the time
and to be honest - it's a good look for her but not this one. Carolina goofed bigtime.

The skirt is nice, but the top and hair is ridiculous.
