how do animals survive outside when its -15 degrees? |

I'm a little worried about the turkey that adopted us this past summer. Also the chickens, though they can huddle inside the coop and have a light bulb in the barn.
The turkey insists on roosting right outside on an old cart. I will be shocked if it survives the night.

Or is that just the farmed turkeys? I remember reading that turkeys will drown in the rain if they look up.
