My first response was to laugh. Only after that did I go OH SHIT FIRE.

The reason I ask is because you said you opened the door. With an electric range you leave the door ajar when broiling. With a gas oven you leave it closed. Did your food catch fire? Glad you are unsigned and still in a good humor.

One of the things I hated the most about living out West was everything being electric. Just doesn't cook as well.

3. The broiler is one of the most dangerous parts of a stove.

You almost have to keep the oven door ajar and watch what you're broiling, unless you have a really "clear" window for that kind of thing. Thangs can get out of hand quickly, or you just ruin whatever you're broiling and don't get to eat it. Unless you like "blackened" food ;)

Glad you're safe, though. What did you burn up?
