Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

So I watched Countdown with KO on my iPod this morning on my way to work. First thing on the show was the speech by *. I tried to watch it, honestly, but I couldn't. I could not stand to watch and listen to that man. I am sooooo glad that he will be gone next Tuesday. It will be such a big relief. The world has America back.

1. Good night, MissHoneychurch!
I'm just going to bed. I get to sleep in late tomorrow,
since I don't have to be at work until mid-afternoon.
And better yet: it's payday!

Life is good.

Richard

3. Hello and Good Morning
I didn't watch Bush's speech either.. nothing he could say that would sway the facts of life that we are a once great nation facing ruination... Frankly I despise him and maybe he should consider moving to Alaska...Grrrr!

So good to see you too!!!

I am doing fine. Just moved into a condo I bought last week. So I am still busy unpacking. How is your life going? I miss our talks as well. Please give my regards to MrsRobeson.

I was hoping KO would break it down and make comments about it. But he let it run the whole time :scared:

Slept in a bit this morning. Couldn't sleep last night, so got a lot of reading done.

I'm curious who really did watch * last night. Not me! I put a few logs in the fireplace, DVD in the player, and snuggled in for the night.

Temps are still wicked this morning. It's -18F with a chill factor of -35. Huh . . . and I thought yesterday was cold.

It's supposed to start warming up, but then when that happens, it snows. Just can't win.

The other night I watched "Cries and Whispers". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cries_and_Whispers I did not like it at all. Oh well . . .

32. As you can see, I'm into
foreign films again. I do wish though, that when they sub-title a film they would take readability into account. Many times the subtitles are white and "over" the scene, and very hard to read. I guess when watching foreign films at home, the pause button works well, at least it does for me.

Gotta go eat breakfast and get ready for work.

If I can't get back here, I wish you a great day and a wonderful weekend.

I came to the lounge to give my 2 cents on Slumdog Millionaire, saw your thread and had to say Hi! I'm dieting and exercising, trying to keep off the diabetes that plagues my family, but on the 20th it's a no diet, celebration day and I'm planning on making lots of good stuff to eat. It has been relatively cool and rainy here in Arabia, perfect walking weather.

53. Good Afternoon!
sorry I'm late today.

I had to go to dinner with work last night (and I will again tonight). The food was better than I had been lead to expect, and the talk after dinner was interesting. It was one of the professor's birthday, so the other faculty embarrassed him, which was amusing.

Tonight should be similar.

How's your day going?

Figured you were busy with you telling me yesterday you have today another 15 hour work day.
Is the dinner part of that long work day?

My day so far goes well. Had another text message exchange with the moving guy (I started this one) and he is going to call me tonight again.

Work day is almost over. And also the week :) Not that I have fun tasks this weekend with cleaning the old apartmen but that shouldn't take too long (thank goodness for my iPod). Then it is back to the new one and continuing unpacking there while I play some nice music.

especially operas.

Oh ... and the 80s

I try to be careful. It is hard but I have good friends online and in RL who help me and keep me on the floor.

68. exactly...
did you see the movie "Music and Lyrics"? It's got some great 80s(to 90s)-esque music (and music videos).

69. No, I haven't
but who knows what it is called in Germany. Last movie I watched was "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis"

71. How was it?
it seems like almost nothing European opens here, which is a real shame because I really like European films. They are so different from American films, while sharing a lot of stylistic themes. :-(

In case you can't tell, I'm kind of a film nerd.

73. It was funny
and romantic. I am sure the French original is even better. But it is best if you understand what they are talking (kinda ... I had troubles understanding the "German" )

Maybe you have a chance of renting it? At Blockbusters? Tell them to get it for you :)

84. You better ask them
maybe they will tell ya :)

Work was busy this week. A lot of books came on my desk as a department is clearing out its shelves. It will continue next week. At least some books that were missing showed up.

Love my new place. Getting used to it. Still a lot of boxes to unpack but I get an idea where to put everything. I have especially in the bedroom a lot of storing space for everything.

When my mom and her bf were here to help me last week we cooked more than one meal. One day we had a Sauce Bolognese simmering on the stove while painting the condo.

Now I am leaving into my weekend. I wish you a wonderful weekend!

:loveya:  :hi:
