8. My PIN number is 4321
and the account name is "George Walker Bush", Daddy's Friend's Bank, Washington DC branch, account 43214321 ('cos that makes it all easy for me to remember, Daddy said). If you have any trouble, ask Directory Enquiries for the Secret Service, cos the guys say they specialise in this kinda thing.

I would send a check, but Laura tells me anything with my signature on these days is worthless. Guess she's pissed about moving to Dallas.

PS. 'Geoge Wasington'? I'm sure I've heard that name somewhere before. I'll get Condi to use The Google on it. Did you used to be my dealer or something? My mind is hazy from a few years.

14. That one might be for real.
The scammers are usually at least a little bit more literate.

I would have thought they would have figured out to dial down the numbers a bit in the Internet Age. Back when those scams started, they sent them to people like corporate executives that might actually be able to send them $50,000 of someone else's money. But now that they are shotgunning them out to every random person on the internet, it seems like they would catch more suckers by asking for $100.

There are a few websites that chronicle the adventures of people that toy with the scammers. Some of them have even gotten the scammers to send *them* money (and in one case a "sample" of alluvial gold).
