I haven't gone out to get the paper yet- need to bundle up! We baked last night to warm up the kitchen (part of it used to be a porch at one time)

The Keys are on my list to visit some day! Have a wonderful trip.

But hey, it's 4 degrees in Atlanta! :wow: on edit, they said it was 12. Still.

4. Looks like it is going to be a high of about 70 all week.
So mostly in the mid to high 60s. I know that is warm compared to the rest of the country, but not exactly swimming weather and definitely not the tropics. The kids will be in jeans and sweaters, not shorts and t-shirts.

6. yeah, that's cold for Florida, isn't it?

I have a college friend who lived in Tampa, and I still remember how it was "cold" (60-70 then and no need to run to the air-conditioned car from the house!) one December when I left the frigid Northeast to visit.

8. Yep. The January day I gave birth to my eldest it was 82 degrees.
We're in the low sixties in central Florida right now. We go to Key West for a week every January (mooching off the in-laws). It is either in the low 80s and perfect swimming weather or in the 60s and we have to get creative figuring out what to do with the kids.

9. gift shops and movies, like we do when it's cold at the upper Atlantic beaches!

or they can catalogue all the unique flora and fauna you folks have there! What an interesting place it seems to be - history, literary legacy, environment, culture...

10. About the same temperature as it is where I live, near Fort Lauderdale.
For some reason, I was under the impression that the Keys were a bit warmer than here. Guess not. And, yeah, especially with kids along, that's kind of a bum Keys trip. If it's just adults, there's plenty of things you can do that don't involve the beach -- OK, maybe not plenty of things. Mostly, just booze. But with children, a Keys trip without the beach is kinda sad.

7. High twenties to low fifties here in North Florida.
Goody! The two weeks out of the year I get to wear my sweaters!

11. Oooh! We Like Key West
We have a friend who works there as a social worker. We go now and then to visit her.

Bummer about the cold weather though! Have fun anyway, if you can.
