Embarrassing moment number 139,742

So I was getting ready to do something and thought "hey, let me grab my iPod."

I had it just a few minutes ago....hmmm.... :shrug:

Pockets - nope.
Couch - nope.
Kitchen - nope.
Bathroom - nope.
Bedroom - nope.

Back to the couch - nope.
Take all the cushions off the couch - nope
Check the dog bed (Zeus likes to grab things and take them to his lair) - nope.

Retrace steps AGAIN - nada. :mad:

Sit down at computer again - oh, I found it - it was nestled in the folds of my robe the entire time! My pudgy self must have made sure it could not fall past the belt.

1. back in the day when I still wore glasses...(I got lasix)

I did that with them when they WERE ON MY FACE. :blush:

3. So I washed my face and then couldn’t find my glasses.

I went and found my second pair so I could see to find the first pair. I searched the bathroom and the bedroom until finally enlisting my DH to help me look. He looked at me for a moment, and then in a rather astounded tone, he remarked and laughed that I had them in my hand!

I was in auto mode and had completely spaced that I picked them up, probably when I grabbed the towel.

4. I recruit Little MB all the time

"Help Mommy find her glasses," I say "You know she can't see them without them."

Usually they are no farther than 2 steps away, and yes, I have had them in my hand or on my head several times!

5. You've convinced me - we ARE twins.

This morning, I had to make the run to the Wawa. It's fucking Fargo here today, so I went outside to start the car up, then came back inside to let it warm up before I made the trek.

I did a little more work on the computer, put my coat back on.....and went crazy for about 10 minutes.....LOOKING FOR THE KEYS.
