1. It wasn't a "miracle," for one thing.

It was an experienced, well-trained crew doing their jobs. They train for emergencies over and over, and it looks like they handled this one by the book. When an A320 loses both engines some electrical capabilities are lost, including some of the flight control computers, but the airplane is completely controllable. Ditching is very tricky, especially on rough water, but they managed to land on the relatvely smooth river, nose high and as slow as possible so the airplane wouldn't sink or cartwheel. A very fine job by an excellent crew.

3. Actually I have been thanking the Flying Spaghetti Monster for saving everyone.

She gently guided the plane down to earth with her noodly appendages setting the plane down on a bed of meatballs.
