6:09 Friday, let's hope things haven't changed much in 3 hours.

Mom is still in hospital, despite the physical diagnosis being excellent. The world of the last 6 months is finally catching up to her, and days go from wonderful to lost in sadness and silence. Both extremes have come to her in the last week or so, and the shift can leave marks.

I fear they have.

Dad's death, two of her children in employment jeopardy, her grandchildren's future, all careening together. Only a heartless person would not reel from such things. And knowing Mom's heart, boundless fits nicely and heartless means Somebody Else Thank You Very Much.

Friends, dear ones both online and off suffering needlessly. Had anyone not easily duped seen this idiot for who he was and Not Voted For Him they would being prospering. Jobs. Katrina. STILL. The worst management crisis in a century. Lists can be written of what's being destroyed.

I know. This is DU. We have 'em.

On Tuesday, I will be heading to a Barber's chair, to lose 13-16" Locks for Love in some abundance. It will be donated anonymously. But it will be off my head, as will be the 8 years that has made most of us AHHHHHHH.

Today, Mom was wonderful. Yesterday she was lost.

Tomorrow, I only know I love her.

:hug: grief is hard to deal with even in the best of times...I think the events of the past 8 years and the mounting feeling of sheer hopelessness has made life so much harder to bear, especially for those who actually understand all that has gone on.

Everything else is boxed and ready for the crawlspace. And a nimble nephew or 2. ;)

At least there's an end to the tunnel.

My brother fell off the roof trying to put up light one year....he landed in his pickup truck. His lights stay up year-round now. :D
