This was actually discussed over a year ago on one of the main BSG forums. Everyone pretty much laughed it off.

But when a certain person was revealed end of last season, those two people brought it up again.

Never convinced me, mind you ... but I'm convinced now.

... especially what's generally made for television or the movies.

I like *good* Sci-Fi that has a real story.

I had no intention of watching BSG when it first came out, think it was going to be some lame rehash of a lame, old Sci-Fi series. (And I did actually enjoy that old, lame series, but I was a kid and liked pretty much anything with spaceships back then.)

And then I got hooked on one of the marathons and ended up watching the entire first season in two days.

I'm going to be rather sad when it's gone.

Given what the 3 said in the last episode, I mentioned that this was a remote possibility. They laughed at me. And now they're eating crow. :)
