26. I always thought that the toil at the dial was a stupid depiction of work.
Hadn't Fritz Lang been in any factories and seen what work actually looks like? If it were just a matter of moving the hands to follow the light, they could work on small dials while seated comfortably.

None of the people in the film actually talked, either! It was all a lot of lip-moving, interspersed with printed cards. Way to interrupt the flow of the plot, Fritz!
