This weekend my two cats are meeting JennaLaw's 3 dogs.

There is the possibility that we're going to become housemates at some point. She needs to get out of where she lives, and I need a roommate. My apartment has become the central place to hang out anyway, so we have been introducing her dogs one at a time to my apartment. Today all of the dogs are coming over together.

My girl cat, Millie Dear, will hide from everyone. I just hope the dogs will let her hide and leave her alone. She doesn't even socialize with my boy cat, Silver.

Silver will tolerate the dogs and ignore them as long as they don't try to play with him. I don't think the dogs will try to harass Silver, so the only concern is that they will be too high strung and try to play.

The cats are old. One of the dogs is a Chihuahua (very hyper) and another is a Chihuahua, pug, something mix (just as hyper).

9. furbaby update

well, seems that Silver is winning the war...but is very stressed about it. My old boy, Jack, is basically ignoring him. The midsized 9 lb mutt is terrified of Silver. Coco and Silver have had a few spats...she is a very hyper little chihuahua, and has some 'behavior issues' that I have not been able to correct since she moved in with me.

but...

Silver has been very much the Alpha pet around here, and has tried to show the pups who is boss! All was going pretty well till the final 'battle' between Sil and Coco...which got nasty.

Pets have been seperated for the night now...tomorrow we can try again.
