Someone smashed the rear window out in Lelapin's car

Just smashed window. The management office (apartments) said there's a pattern lately of kids smashing windows but leaving everything inside. But someone obviously rifled through my glovebox and center storage thing. Papers and receipts all over the place.

nothing of any value was in the car, so nothing was stolen. But the back seat is full of snow and glass and she has no way to clean it out.

I have insurance, but don't know if they'll cover a tow. (It can't be driven easily without the back window covered.)

Damn.

But for some reason, I had requested a $100 deductible for comprehensive. The insurance company just told me it's 0. :wow: I'm grateful for small favors!

The glass company is coming out Monday to replace the rear window at her apartment. She doesn't have classes or work because it's a holiday.

I found a friend who's going over shortly to take her to the store for groceries and tape and plastic. A police report's been filed.

17. It does give me comfort

She's got a huge heart and a beautiful spirit. Once my friend takes her to get tape, plastic and food, she'll be better. I know she's lonely. I would give anything to move back to Ohio and trust me I'm trying.

18. Had the passenger side window broken out

with a sign post about 1 year ago, nothing taken.

Glass and dirt from the ground end of the sign post all over the place.

Good thing was that my insurance covered the window repair with no increase in premium.

The car is a 1994, but I kept comprehensive in case it was stolen or vandalized. My gut was right.
